I've created Play Group Mom for everyone who wants to enjoy the time they spend with children. Parents, teachers, and everyone who takes care of or works with children can use my ideas.
Play Group Mom is all about easy, simple ways to have fun with kids, while meeting their needs, helping families, and preparing children for the best start in life.
In the mid 1980s, I volunteered as a mother's helper at my church nursery. Since then, I have continued working with kids, in different roles and jobs, for over 20 years. I have taught at private and public schools, at every grade level, including preschool and adult education. I've been a nanny, a babysitter, and a caregiver in homes and institutions. I'm the mother of one lovely daughter, and while she was little, I organized and directed a community playgroup including over 100 families with small children. I also have several siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins. I hope you can benefit from my experience.
I hold a master's degree in liberal arts. During the course of my studies I took classes in child development, education, English, and culture, and many other subjects. I love to read and learn about new things.
I hope you will be able to use my ideas to enjoy the time you spend with kids, helping them learn, play, and grow. A happy childhood lasts a lifetime!
